Let’s face it, between all the stressors of our everyday life and the never-ending pandemic, who is managing to even make time for themselves?! Research has shown that stress can reduce the body’s ability to recover from and reap the benefits of exercise. At True REST Float Spa, our float therapy will provide you with 60-minutes of pure, blissful relaxation in one of our state-of-the-art float therapy tanks in a sensory reduced environment.

How does it work?

Float therapy is a reduced environmental stimulus therapy that has both physical and mental benefits. Our members float effortlessly in a 10 inches of water, heated perfectly to skin temperature, filled with 1,000 pounds of the highest-quality Epsom salts. The experience is entirely customizable. The pod door can be left open or closed, lights can be turned on or left off and guests can choose whether to listen to their music or any of our customized tracks that promote relaxation, better sleep, improved creativity and concentration. Inside a True REST Float Spa, stresses and worries from reality melt away as external forces on your body and mind are reduced, allowing your body to find the restoration it needs.

As we mentioned before, the sensory deprivation tanks provide minimal sensory stimulation and zero distractions from the outside world. There are a variety of health benefits that come from float therapy, such as inducing a clear and empty state of mind that can improve focus, sleep and concentration.

What can you expect after a session?

Floating offers an all-natural, holistic approach that has been proven to offer positive physical and mental well-being to its practitioners. The after-effects can vary immensely. Sometimes they are present during the session, or for an extended period of time after the session. Just as any other therapy, our members experience the greatest benefits with regular float therapy sessions.

Some of the most common benefits experienced include:

  • Lower stress levels
  • Decreased anxiety and depression
  • Improved sleep
  • Relief from chronic physical pain
  • Enhanced athletic performance

Floatation therapy is very similar to meditation. It provides the ability to relax an overly stimulated mind so that you can reset and be at your best.
